Our flagship 17U squad battled through a loaded bracket to bring home the CBL Summer Championship — a program-defining weekend for Kentucky Vision.
Kentucky Vision 17U capped off a dominant summer circuit by winning the CBL Summer Championship in Cincinnati this past weekend. The team rolled through pool play undefeated and carried that momentum into a physical knockout round, where they knocked off two top-seeded programs to reach the title game.
In the championship, Kentucky Vision leaned on the defensive identity they have built all season — forcing turnovers, getting out in transition, and finishing at the rim. The backcourt controlled the pace from the opening tip, and the frontcourt owned the glass when it mattered most.
“This group bought in from day one,” said Head Coach Marcus Reed. “They trusted the process, trusted each other, and it showed when the games got tight. This is what we mean when we say built for the next level.”
The title adds to a growing list of accomplishments for the flagship program and reinforces the development pathway Vision Elite Athletics has built for athletes across Kentucky and beyond. Several players on the roster are now drawing active college interest, a direct result of the exposure this circuit provides.
Congratulations to the players, coaches, and families on a championship summer. The work continues — fall development sessions begin next month.
